John F. Malta is a Cleveland, Ohio-born, multi-disciplinary artist, illustrator, art director, and author who works out of a studio based in the West Bottoms neighborhood of Kansas City.

John is a Xeric Grant recipient, his comic art has been recognized with medals from The Society of Illustrators, and he has spent the last decade traversing the North American alternative comics scene.
He is the creator of the punk zine odyssey Haunted Francis and spends most of his days drawing alongside his tiny dog Porky. Surrounded by his collections of Halloween decorations, old toys, puroresu artifacts, and punk posters.

His picture book Intergalactic Moving Day was published by POW! Kids Books.
His paintings and installations have been exhibited widely across the country at galleries such as the Daum Museum of Contemporary Art, New Image Art, Spoke Art NYC, Superchief, Good Mother Gallery, Gallery Nucleus, Think Tank Los Angeles, and Hashimoto Contemporary.
